Give and Go Prepared Foods has announced a voluntary nationwide recall of certain muffin products due to the potential of being contaminated with Listeria. The 26 various muffin varieties involved are sold at stores including 7-Eleven, Walmart and Sam’s Clubs.
Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
