As we go through another extended hot and humid pattern in central Maine, some may need to find a place to cool down.
Cooling Centers are a facility that have been opened for short term operations due to a specific emergency or event. They are normally opened when hot temperatures may become dangerous.
Current locations include the Augusta Civic Center, the Auburn Public Library, Richmond Area Senior Center and Livermore Falls, Leeds, Wales and Sabattus Town Offices. More here!
Extreme heat indices & poor air quality will impact much of the state today. #BeSafe by keeping cool & hydrated. If air conditioning isn't available to you or someone you know, visit a cooling center. We'll update our list of open cntrs as we're notified. https://t.co/xpAE17VAj1 pic.twitter.com/LEUgTh0Tg8
