According to the Maine Office of Marijuana Policy, Maine’s adult-use recreational marijuana retailers sold $10.2 million worth of products in August.
The Portland Press Herald reports that just in the past month, 9 new stores opened. That makes 53, and the industry is still growing. 185 are in various stages of the approval process.
Maine's recreational marijuana shops have topped $10 million in sales for the first time, with out-of-state visitors likely contributing to the surge.
