Maine Department of Public Safety is participating in the nationwide “Click it or Ticket” campaign this Memorial Day weekend and continuing through June 5.
Officials say close to half of all fatal crashes in Maine involve those not wearing seat belts.
The purpose is to educate people about the law and how it can make all the difference in the event of a collision.
