36-year-old Lee Holbrook of Durham and 36-year-old Robert Little of Lewiston were arrested recently for illegal night hunting activities.
During a traffic stop Dec. 8, Brunswick Police spotted a cross bow in the front seat of the vehicle and two dead deer in the rear hatch area.
The two illegally harvested deer were provided to the Maine Warden Service to be given to local food pantries.

The Brunswick Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Pleasant Hill Rd. on a vehicle that had committed several traffic infractions. As the officer approached the vehicle, he noticed a cross bow in the front seat and 2 dead deer in the rear hatch area. The sole occupant of the vehicle, Lee Holbrook 36 years old of Durham, told the officer the deer had just been shot from inside his vehicle.Officers quickly learned a second suspect was involved in the illegal night hunting activities. Officers followed fresh footprints in the snow and located a second suspect on Pleasant Street. Robert Little, 36 years old of Lewiston, was also taken into custody. The Maine State Warden Service was contacted and responded to assist with the investigation.
