Rockland Police say they received several requests this morning, Dec. 11, for information regarding a heavy law enforcement presence in the area of Harbor Plaza.
Officials say there were reports of an armed and intoxicated subject who had made threats to harm themselves. Also, others in the area reportedly made threats to harm law enforcement if they responded.
Officers located the subject in a vehicle and were able to take the individual, who was in crisis, into protective custody without incident.
Rockland Police recovered several firearms, and the investigation is ongoing.
