Maine State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating a fire, Dec. 15, at the Greenville Masonic Hall, 281 Pritham Avenue, Greenville.
The Greenville Fire Department, along with mutual aid fire departments, arrived to find heavy fire conditions.
Once the fire was suppressed and the scene was stabilized, investigators from the State Fire Marshal’s Office were requested to assist.
The fire was determined to have originated in the basement kitchen area of the structure.
Due to the extent of fire damage, the specific ignition source and cause could not be identified.
Based on the available information, there is no evidence to indicate the fire was the result of an intentional act.
