The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry reminds you that you can renew your dog’s license in person at your municipal office.

All dogs need to be licensed upon reaching the age of 6 months in the town where it resides, or after the dog has been with the family for 10 days, if adopted.

Licenses Expire December 31.

Bring a copy of your dog’s valid rabies certificate and payment or go online, for participating municipalities, HERE.
• You’ll need a PDF or JPG copy of your dog’s valid rabies certificate and a credit card for payment.
• You can log in with last year’s tag number. Add ’25-‘ before the dog’s tag number in the License # Box and your last name.

Proof of Rabies Vaccine to be uploaded (PDF, Word or JPG). Documents are reviewed. Dog licenses will not be issued without accepeted proof of rabies vaccine.
