From the Wiscasset Police Department:

On January 13, 2026, just after 5:30 p.m., the Wiscasset Police Department responded to a report of a residence being shot at on Old Sheepscot Road in Wiscasset. The investigation revealed that three shots were fired at the home. At the time of the incident, the residence was occupied by an adult male and his juvenile son. One of the rounds struck the front door of the residence, shattering the outer storm door glass, penetrating the metal door, and entering the living room area of the home less than ten feet from where both occupants were sitting. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Wiscasset Police were assisted at the scene by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and K-9 Unit. As the investigation continued into the evening, a significant development occurred when the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office responded to an unrelated incident in Whitefield. Deputies responding to that incident uncovered evidence that potentially linked the Wiscasset shooting to a similar incident that occurred in Alna. The investigation continued throughout Wednesday, January 14, 2026, and resulted in the arrest of three 18-year-old males: Jacob McInnis Jr., 18, of Whitefield, Camden Larrabee, 18, of Sabattus, and Caleb Busby, 18, of Bremen. All three were Charged with Aggravated Criminal Mischief and Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon, both Class C Felony offenses. They are currently be held at Two Bridges Regional Jail with a cash bail of $10,000.

The investigation remains ongoing.
