U.S. bobsledder Frank Del Duca, a Bethel native, has been chosen as one of Team USA’s flag-bearers for the upcoming opening ceremonies at the Winter Olympics in Milan, Feb. 6.
Del Duca joins speedskater Erin Jackson as co-flag bearers for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony at Milan’s San Siro Stadium.
Del Duca, 34, a U.S. Army sergeant and two-time Olympian, is the first bobsledder to carry the flag in 70 years.
Selected by fellow athletes, the pair called the honor overwhelming and vowed to carry it with pride as they lead over 220 Americans into the Games.
