Bangor Police arrested 32-year-old Daniel Chapman of Bangor, after officers responded to reports of someone “threatening bodily harm” in a hotel room.

From the Bangor Police Department:

On Sunday, March 1, at approximately 03:44 a.m., Bangor Police responded to a hotel on Godfrey Blvd after the establishment called and reported an argument in the hallway with someone “threatening bodily harm” and also added it “sounds violent.” Multiple officers arrived and found the disturbance had moved inside of a room. Officers could hear continued threats of physical harm as well as threats to use a firearm. Officers had to make entry into the room when they heard what they believed to be an assault taking place. After their investigation Chapman was taken into custody.

Chapman was charged with the following:

  • Criminal Threatening w/ a Dangerous Weapon, Class C
  • Assault, Class D
  • Violation of Conditions of Release, Class E
