Auburn Police say a deceased 47-year-old male was discovered near the railroad tracks in the area of 104 Washington Street North.
Auburn Police Department and Auburn Fire Department responded to a reported medical emergency at a homeless encampment, March 3. Upon arrival, first responders located the deceased male.
The investigation is active and ongoing. Police say the death does not appear to be suspicious.
Auburn Police Detectives are working with investigators from Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
