New Scam Targeting Bangor Residents

The City of Bangor is informing the public about the latest scam that is targeting area residents.

There have been efforts by scammers to deceive people who have submitted planning-related applications to the City. Emails sent to applicants claim an “application approval fee” must be paid. But please know that the City requires that fees be paid up front — before reviewing an application — not after it’s been placed on a Planning Board agenda.
