Mariah Dobbins, 28, of Easton has been indicted by an Aroostook County Grand Jury on one count of manslaughter. A warrant was issued for Dobbins’ arrest and she was taken into custody on July 16 at her residence in Easton.
On Saturday, March 19, 2022, medical personnel and the Maine State Police were called to 311 Center Road in Easton for an unresponsive 1-year-old child. The child was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The child was taken to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta for an autopsy and results had been pending. The investigation continued and Detectives received the results from the OCME which ruled the child’s death as a homicide.
Dobbins was taken to the Aroostook County Jail. Bail has been set at $10,000 cash or $100,000 surety. An arraignment date has been set for Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 1:00 pm.
