Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 17 and Feb. 18, the westbound lane of the Memorial Bridge will be closed for a scheduled bridge inspection.
The closure will begin at Cony Circle, and motorists can expect additional traffic being funneled into the downtown area.
Closure times will be from 9:00am to 3:00pm, each day.
The Augusta Police Department urges motorists to plan accordingly and allow for extra travel time, and consider alternate routes if possible. Officers will be monitoring traffic flow and assisting as needed.
