77-year-old Anne Pomroy from Old Orchard Beach, was killed Monday evening, April 13, in a head-on collision on Route 1 in Stockton Springs.
The crash occurred when a westbound truck driven by 42-year-old Adam Sorrentino of Belfast, crossed into the oncoming lane and struck an eastbound Subaru Forester operated by Pomroy. She suffered serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Sorrentino was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
No further details about speed, impairment, or other potential contributing factors have been released at this time.
