Two people are dead after an early morning house fire today, June 10, at 622 Steam Road, Winterport.

The deceased are believed to be Raymond Cornelison, 29, and HannahMae McAllister, 20. The two had been living at the residence. The remains have been transported to a local funeral home where they will be examined by the Medical Examiner’s office.

The Somerset Regional Communications Center received a 911 call at approximately 4:24 am regarding a house fire. The Winterport, Monroe and West Frankfort Fire Departments responded along with the Winterport Ambulance.

Investigators from the Fire Marshal’s office are at the scene and anticipate being there for the remainder of the day.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. At this time, there is no indication of foul play.
