39-year-old Samantha Randall of Howland was arrested on March 27, in connection with a fire at the Howland Corner Store in 2022.

On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at approximately 9:08 pm, firefighters responded to a reported structure fire at the Howland Corner Store in Howland. Upon arrival, first responders observed active fire conditions and signs of rapid-fire development shortly after the store had closed for the evening. Following an extensive criminal and financial investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s Office, a Penobscot County Grand Jury has indicted 39-year-old Samantha Randall of Howland on charges of Arson in connection with the fire. Randall was arrested today, Friday, March 27, 2026, on an arrest warrant related to the indictment. The investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests or charges are expected.
