18-year-old Wyatt Dove, of Leeds, and 18-year-old Hunter Mathieu, of Farmington, were arrested and charged with burglary.
They are accused of stealing merchandise from stores in both Leeds and Wayne.
Both have been charged with Burglary and Aggravated Criminal Mischief.
From the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office:
In the early morning hours of March 24, 2026, the Androscoggin County Regional Communications Center received an alarm from a closed convenience store in Leeds. Responding deputies from the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the store had been forcibly entered through a glass door and merchandise had been stolen. The suspects had fled the scene prior to law enforcement arrival. Shortly thereafter, the Communications Center received a report of a burglary in progress at another closed convenience store in Wayne. Based on the timing and circumstances, deputies determined the incidents were likely related. This was later confirmed through security camera footage and witness statements. Deputies began searching the surrounding area for the suspect vehicle. A sheriff’s corporal traveling on Church Hill Road in Leeds located a vehicle matching the description at a residence. Deputies made contact with the occupants and identified two suspects, who were found to be intoxicated after consuming stolen alcohol. One of the individuals admitted to committing the burglaries… Detectives with the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant for the residence. During the execution of the warrant, deputies recovered stolen property from both burglarized stores. Investigators also located additional items believed to be connected to a separate burglary that occurred in 2025 in Livermore, which remains under investigation.
