Members of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, April 2, served a search warrant at a residence on Main Road in Greenbush.
The operation stemmed from a multi-month investigation into drug trafficking activities in the area. During the execution of the warrant, law enforcement officers seized quantities of cocaine and fentanyl, two highly dangerous controlled substances that pose significant risks to public health and safety.
Two individuals were taken into custody at the scene and formally charged.
Monroe Richardson, 62, of Connecticut, faces the following charges:
- Unlawful Trafficking of Drugs
- Falsifying Physical Evidence
- Misuse of Identification
Starr Russell was charged with:
- Unlawful Possession of Schedule Drugs
- Falsifying Physical Evidence
- An outstanding arrest warrant
- Violation of Conditional Release (x4)
K-9 Memphis from the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office was deployed during the operation to assist in the search.
The investigation remains active, and officials indicated that additional charges or arrests may be forthcoming as the case develops.
