Officers from the Wiscasset Police Department executed search warrants at two residences on April 2, uncovering a significant operation involving illegal drug trafficking and firearms violations.
The Wiscasset Police Department announced on Wednesday, April 8, that authorities targeted homes at 263 Pooler Pit Road and 123 Lowelltown Road as part of an ongoing investigation into the manufacturing and trafficking of illegal drugs and firearms.
During the search of the Lowelltown Road residence, officers seized a large quantity of illegal drugs, cash, tools, firearm accessories, and 24 firearms. A follow-up search at the Pooler Pit Road address yielded additional illegal drugs.

As a result of the investigation, two Wiscasset men have been charged:
37-year-old Dustan Barnes, faces multiple serious charges, including:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person
- Aggravated Trafficking of Scheduled Drugs
- Unlawful Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs
- Multiple counts of Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drugs, including Cocaine Base, Cocaine, Psilocybin, Adderall, and Oxycodone
53-year-old Ronald Gonyou, was charged with:
- Unlawful Possession of a Scheduled Drug (Cocaine)
- Unlawful Possession of a Scheduled Drug (Oxycodone)
- Unlawful Furnishing of a Scheduled Drug
The investigation remains active, and police say additional charges are possible.
