There is no delay for filing taxes due to Patriot’s Day in Maine for 2026. The Federal and Maine tax deadline remains as April 15.

Patriot’s Day is Monday, April 20. Since the holiday falls after the standard April 15 deadline, it does not trigger an extension. Maine and Massachusetts residents only get an extra day or two when Patriot’s Day (or related holidays like Emancipation Day) lands on or immediately around April 15.

Maine follows the federal April 15 deadline for individual income tax returns (Form 1040ME) and estimated payments. If the due date falls on a weekend or holiday, it shifts to the next business day, but that doesn’t apply here.
