The Town of Winslow has announced immediate traffic and parking changes aimed at improving safety in several residential neighborhoods.

According to a new traffic advisory issued by town officials, residents and visitors should be aware of updated signage and modified traffic patterns in the following areas.

New No-Parking Zone on South Garand Street

Effective immediately, a new no-parking zone has been established extending 60 feet from the intersection of Halifax Street and South Garand Street. The restriction applies to both sides of South Garand Street. Drivers are urged to observe the new signage to avoid violations.

All-Way Stop Signs Installed

In addition, all-way stop signs have been added at three intersections to improve traffic control and visibility:

  • Boston Avenue and Stobie Street
  • North Garand Street and Stobie Street
  • South Garand Street and Rousseau Street

These changes are part of ongoing efforts by the Town of Winslow to enhance road safety in neighborhoods with increased traffic or visibility concerns.

The advisory encourages all drivers to pay close attention to the new signage and drive cautiously in the affected areas. Parking restrictions and stop sign changes are now in effect. Motorists are reminded that compliance with the new rules helps keep the community safe for pedestrians, cyclists, and other drivers.
