The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office announced that two juvenile males have been charged in connection with a series of commercial burglaries and vehicle thefts that occurred throughout March 2026.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the investigation targeted multiple businesses in the area, including Northeastern Firearms, G3 Firearms, and Vacationland Cannabis in Turner, as well as First Due Firearms in Sabattus.
The suspects were also linked to the theft of three vehicles reported stolen in Portland, Westbrook, and Auburn. All three vehicles were later recovered by the Westbrook Police Department and the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.
A 16-year-old male was taken into custody by the Portland Police Department on April 2, on a warrant issued by the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office. A second suspect, a 17-year-old male, was arrested by Portland Police on April 20, on a separate warrant.
Investigators used surveillance footage, forensic evidence, and digital records as part of a coordinated effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies. The crimes included commercial burglaries, attempted burglaries, stolen vehicle incidents, and related offenses spanning several jurisdictions.
Due to the suspects’ juvenile status, authorities will not release additional identifying information at this time. The investigation remains active, and officials say additional charges may be forthcoming.
