Lewiston Police have arrested a 16-year-old male in connection with a shooting incident last month that left property damage but no injuries.

On April 29, officers responded to 119 Pierce St. after receiving reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located shell casings and evidence of damage to property.

The Lewiston Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division led the investigation, working with the Androscoggin County District Attorney’s Office and Juvenile Community Corrections Officers. On May 7, detectives arrested the juvenile. He faces charges of Reckless Conduct with a Firearm, a Class C crime, and Threatening Display of a Weapon, a Class D crime. He was transported to Long Creek Youth Development Center.

This marks the second time the 16-year-old has been charged in connection with a shooting incident.

The investigation remains active, and police say additional charges may be filed.
