Lewiston firefighters responded to Rachel Boulevard, May 7, for a reported structure fire. One person was transported to the hospital for burns.
According to the Lewiston Fire Department:
Upon arrival, the first due engine encountered a well-established fire in the kitchen and living room areas. Firefighters quickly entered the building for an aggressive fire attack. They extinguished most of the fire 5 minutes after arriving. Crews spent approximately an hour overhauling and checking for extension.
The fire started in the kitchen and was determined to be accidental.
