President Trump “Not Concerned” After Brazilian Official He Met With Is Diagnosed With Coronavirus

On Thursday, President Trump said he was ‘not concerned’ about the possibility of being exposed to the coronavirus after dining last week with a Brazilian government official who has since tested positive for the disease.

Trump made light of his possible exposure to the virus, which has sickened more than 126,000 people in a worldwide pandemic. “Let’s put it this way: I’m not concerned,” Trump told reporters while meeting with Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar in the Oval Office.

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who had been at the dinner with Trump in Palm Beach, Florida, has been tested for coronavirus and is awaiting the result, his son Eduardo wrote on Twitter, adding that the president was not showing any symptoms. Brazilian officials on Thursday confirmed that Brazil’s communications secretary, Fabio Wajngarten, has the coronavirus and is now under quarantine at his home.

White House spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham said Trump and Pence had “almost no interactions” with the Brazilian official and that they “do not require being tested at this time.”  She added, “we are monitoring the situation closely and will update everyone as we get more information.”

Live-Action Remake Of Disney’s Mulan Receiving Rave Reviews At Debut Screening

The first reactions to the much-anticipated live-action remake of Disney’s Mulan have now hit the internet, and the consensus from many critics seem to be that this is by far one of Disney’s best live-action adaptations of one of their animation classics.

The latest live-action adaptation of a Disney classic, Mulan follows Hua Mulan (Yifei Liu) as she disguises herself as a man to join the Imperial Chinese Army. After the Emperor of China (Jet Li) conscripts one man from each family to face Bori Khan’s (Jason Scott Lee) invading Hun army, Mulan secretly takes her ailing father’s place.

Many fans were initially apprehensive to hear the live-action Mulan would make significant changes to the original 1998 cartoon, and draw more from the original Chinese ballad, such as forgoing the iconic musical numbers and removing comic relief Mushu.

Coronavirus Outbreak Is Called A ‘Pandemic’ By World Health Organization

More than two months after the start of the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in China, on Wednesday the World Health Organization (“WHO”) formally declared the outbreak a global pandemic. The WHO generally defines a pandemic as a disease that has become widespread around the world.

“We are deeply concerned both by the alarming levels of spread and severity, and by the alarming levels of inaction,” Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director-general of the WHO, said Wednesday.  The WHO noted that it was “deeply concerned” by the “spread and severity” of the coronavirus, and by “alarming levels of inaction” among governments outside of the disease’s epicenter, China.  China reported a rise in coronavirus infections imported from abroad as the number of cases in the U.S. topped 1,000.

President Donald Trump called on the country’s top bankers regarding the coronavirus outbreak, as leaders both inside and outside the United States continue to try to assess the economic damage wrought by the virus – and the economic and financial market fallout that is still to come.

The two popular gameshows are the latest television project to shift plans due to the new coronavirus The shows tape months in advance, so the presumably quieter shows will not immediately be noticeable to viewers at home. Both are filmed at a studio in Culver City, California.
