Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Daughter Simone Joining The WWE

Simone Johnson, the daughter of Dwayne Johnson and his ex-wife Dany Garcia, has begun training to become a professional wrestler with WWE. She’ll thus be following in the footsteps of her father, her grandfather Rocky “Soul Man” Johnson, and her great-grandfather Peter Maivia. When she completes training, Simone Johnson will become the first-ever fourth-generation wrestler in WWE history.

“To the little girl who fell in love with wrestling & said ‘this will be my life one day’, this is for you. I’m humbled, grateful & ready to work,” Johnson wrote on Instagram.”

The Rock was one of WWE’s biggest stars before embarking on his movie career. He officially retired from pro wrestling in 2019, but did make a return appearance for the debut of Fox’s Smackdown relaunch in September.

President Trump Requests Funding Increase For NASA In 2021 Including Moon Program

The Trump administration is requesting $25.2 billion for NASA in fiscal 2021, a 12% increase which includes $3.3 billion to kickstart development of a human-rated lander for the Artemis moon program. Nearly half of the budget request, $12.3 billion, is devoted to new and ongoing projects focused on the return to the moon and eventual flights to Mars.

NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine said, “this is a 21st century budget worthy of 21st century space exploration and one of the strongest budgets in NASA history. If the president’s support for NASA wasn’t clear before, it should be obvious now.”

NASA states it will cost about $35 billion to fund the Artemis moon program through the first landing of a man and woman on the lunar surface in 2024. To make that happen, the budget request says NASA will need $25.2 billion in 2021, $27.2 billion in fiscal 2022, $28.6 billion in 2023, $28.1 billion in 2024 and $26.3 billion in 2025.

Oscar-Winning “Parasite” To Become New Limited Series For HBO

Bong Joon Ho’s “Parasite” already made history at the Academy Awards, becoming the first South Korean film to earn not only a nomination for Best International Feature, but for the Best Picture Oscar as well. Now director Bong has announced plans with Adam McKay to partner on a small-screen adaptation of Parasite in a limited-series version for HBO.

Bong said, “All these key ideas accumulated from when I started writing the script. I just couldn’t include all those ideas in the two-hour running time of the film, so they’re all stored in my iPad and my goal with this limited series is to create a six-hour-long film.”

It is unclear whether the HBO version of “Parasite” will be told in English or Korean, but Bong has said that plans for the upcoming drama will go into production by March.
