In the early hours of Tuesday, April 15, a large-scale law enforcement operation descended on 80 Reef Road in Waldoboro, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals on serious charges ranging from aggravated assault and kidnapping to aggravated drug trafficking.
The Waldoboro Police Department, supported by the Maine State Police Tactical Team, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA), and Maine Warden Service, executed a search warrant at the property stemming from an investigation into an alleged aggravated assault, kidnapping, and theft that occurred there.
Those arrested by the Waldoboro Police Department include:
- Russell Hardin, 44, of Waldoboro
- Taylor Meader, 25, of Sidney
- Shane Jones, 38, of South Thomaston
- Adonis Morel Tavarez, 18, of New York — charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping, theft, and terrorizing.
A follow-up search warrant at the same address led to additional drug-related arrests by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency:
- Glenn Hardin, 72, of Waldoboro
- Yendy Zenzof Rodriguez, 25, of Massachusetts
- Shane Jones, 38, of South Thomaston (additional charges)
- Adonis Morel Tavarez, 18, of New York (additional charges)
The investigation remains ongoing.
