A 56-year-old Liberty man has been arrested and charged following an alleged assault on a member of the town’s selectboard at Liberty Town Hall earlier this week.
According to Maine State Police, troopers responded to the Town Hall around 7:50pm, May 5, after receiving a report of an assault.
Following an investigation, authorities arrested Roland Singer of Liberty. He faces two counts of simple assault and one count of criminal mischief.
The selectboard member sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. Police have not released the name of the victim or additional details about what led to the incident.
